• How You Can Help

There are many ways you can get involved and help us to save animals in need across the UK.

Whether or not you have lots or very little time to spare any contribution you can make can make a real difference.

Our work depends entirely on the support of our volunteers - people like YOU.

We receive no government funding so we rely entirely on donations.

Animal Lifeline UK was founded to provide much-needed support for animal rescues by finding volunteers to help with:

    • Home Checking
    • Fostering
    • Transport
    • Animal Assessments
    • Fund Raising

We also work directly with dog pounds and individuals throughout the UK who have no choice but to rehome their pets. This is only possible with the support of people to assist with:

    • Transport - particularly to get animals to the safety of their rescue spaces
    • Finding Rescue Spaces - for animals in need of placements
    • Rescue Checking - ensuring rescues meet strict criteria to acquire animals via ALUK
    • Animal Assessments - appraisal of each animals' needs and behaviour to ensure the most suitable rescue placement is found
    • Fund Raising - to cover the cost of transport runs and emergency boarding for pound dogs, for example

This list is by no means exhaustive. Even if you can't help with any of the above there are still many ways to get involved. Click here for our '101 Ways to Help' article for suggestions.
