Kingsley, Parsons Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 2010 - Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Homing Requirements: Kingsley needs a terrier experienced home who can ensure he has a secure garden, exit management and retention on an extender lead outside due to prey drive. Not for cats or small furries and care around puppies/very small dogs. Kingsley needs aware introductions to other dogs and when managed relaxes and enjoys the company of other dogs inside and outside his homes. Kingsley could live with responsible older children. The main factor will be his assured safety.

His Story: Kingsley's owner was a rough diamond and Kingsley frequently got out and was returned via the pound to his family several times. He was in poor health and full of fleas. The pound were disinclined to trust his owner again; he was found with a 9 month old unspayed Patterdale bitch. Both came into Terrierrescue. She has since been spayed and rehomed. Kingsley has now been neutered, chipped and vax'd. Kingsley is in foster in a multi dog household in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Advert: King of the Road ... not anymore! Kingsley will be safe with ensured care and support. Kingsley is now happy in foster, enjoying good quality food and good health now .

Kingsley is a 3 year old rough-coated Parson's Jack Russell whose coat condition was terrible – he was thin and sad. Kingsley had been "worked" without training so does see cats and small furries as fair prey. He needs exercise on an extender lead and awareness around street ref cats in hedges or under cars. Kingsley enjoys walks and meeting most dogs well when supported but care is needed around very small dogs.

An update from Kingsley's fosterer John:

"Kingsley's still in T Wells, charming all the people who walk their dogs in the local park. They all know his foibles now, are not frightened by his barking and they think he is a true terrier with lots of energy and enthusiasm.

I cannot stress enough how affectionate he is....he always wants to snuggle hard up against you, and gives the gentlest and softest of licks imaginable. He is so long suffering of our one rather "forward" resident and never gives anything more than a low growl....what a good boy!! He is full of fun and is always ready for a game of tag in the garden with anyone who will play.

I am surprised that nobody has sought to rehome him yet, he is a "real character", and will give a great deal of pleasure to whoever offers him his own forever home".

Kingsley is still available for adoption – if you are interested in offering Kingsley a home please complete our homing questionnaire on this link: https://rescueremedies.wufoo.eu/forms/rescue-remedies-homing-questionnaire/
