What ALUK help do you need? TRANSPORT
Contact/organisation details: PRECIOUS POUNDIES PM MEMBER GILKA
Who legally owns the animal during transport? RESCUE
Permission : Do you have the rescue's permission to post this template? YES
Is Liability Insurance in place? NO
Paperwork/Documentation : Documentation must be available and transferred to each volunteer who helps then paperwork must pass along with the animal also and be recieved by the final destination (foster home or rescue).
Do you take full responsibility for organising the transport run? For Example, making sure all volunteers have the necessary times etc before preceeding with the run? YES

ANY MEMBER OFFERING TRANSPORT FOR THIS RUN MUST CHECK WITH THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY THAT THEY ARE COVERED TO CARRY THIS ANIMAL ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS. ALUK BEARS NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANYTHING POSTED ON THE THREAD.

What time is this planned for? I could do some of the run (s yorks to Tamworth) but don't finish work till 4.. and need to go home to drop my dogs off first.

We are now looking to do this Friday I think if the pound will hold him for an extra day.

depends on traffic and when it closes.. won't be setting off from mine till about 5 and with traffic would prob take me an hour to get up there.. IF i'm lucky..

Which is why I said I could do from south yorks to tamworth (plus would mean i'd being doing about 2 hours, instead of nearer 4, as i have to pick OH up from work at 9)

Think you jinxed us! Nearly didn't happen, as the night before my exhuast bounced out of a bracket (gotta love speed bumps!) and part of the pipe cracked!

Cue frantic phone call to Mel, mad dash to local mechanic complete with sob story, (manged to push my way in front of other people on his books for that day), part ordered and told to come back at 11...

Wandered around town for 2 hours, returned, to be told they'd only JUST finished.. as the guy had brought the wrong part! so nearly a second disaster!

The actual TRIP went well tho! lol :supersmile:
