Melody is a 9-10 month old Staffie who was found stray petrified. She has been very nervous in kennels with the tail taught under her belly. We have offered her a safe rescue place and will pick up hr kennelling bill in a fortnight. She accompanied me to the vets today and hour and half's journey in my passenger seat. She was nervous but settled and I got licks and I was able to stroke her all the journey.

At the vets she was found very close to season so she was 1st vaxed and microchipped. (Nervous dogs always have microchips soon as we take them on and their collars have a tag and are never removed. Ideally we walk with a harness to avoid any risk of them slipping their collar). We also wormed her today.

Melody then spent 2 hours with Simon a Staffie fan and she settled really well with him. They even shared lunch outside a cafe on a busy road and people made a fuss of her. Simon begged could I slip her into my house so he could put more work into her but I an take any more dogs in above a council order (Dogaholics beware!)

"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found"

If you are considering to foster one of our lovely dogs then please read the section here and complete our fostering form if you meet our criteria http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about1325.html and email it to [email:1w0oizp6][email protected][/email:1w0oizp6]

We ask that our fosterers live within 1 - 1/2 hours of the Gatwick, Richmond & Farnham areas as this means they are in reach of our vets should the dog require treatments, spay/neutering & vaccinating.
